With 70 years of Moto GP as the main theme, the 2019 A-XOC Bikers'Classics will lure all fans of pure speed to the heart of the Belgian Ardennes. So many fans who will also be able to enjoy the BCGP show i.e. the Belgian Classic Grand Prix ! An initiative by Classic Racing Motorcycles Belgium (CRMB) founded in 1985, the only Belgian club fully dedicated to old competition bikes. Its reason for living: bringing the old race motorcycles back to the circuits and having them discovered by the widest possible audience.
"Our club has been an active partner of the Bikers'Classics since the first edition of this great event in 2005," says Eddy De Keyser, head of CRMB. As this gathering is taking place at the historical date of the old Moto GP of Belgium, we just had to be there in order to honour our regretted national Grand Prix."
From this union was born the Belgian Classic Grand Prix, a race in the calendars of Classic Bike by the FMB and International Historic Racing Organization (IHRO). For six years now, the BCGP has presented an international platter of exceptional quality, both in terms of brands and models presented. König, Paton, Ducati, Aermacchi Alla d'Oro, Norton Manx, Matchless, AJS, Seeley, Drixton, Honda, Yamaha, are all names that thrill fans and nostalgics. As for the riders, whether they are Italian, Irish, English, French, Dutch or Belgian, they do not fail to give an international touch to the two races on the program.
"This represents a platter of the order of 70 historic machines rarely encountered on the continent, especially in competition," continues Eddy De Keyser. And just so you know, the BCGP is a race, not a demo ! So there will be a battle ! Forget your earplugs and enjoy the sounds and smells of these bikes from the Golden Age of the Grand Prix at the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps. And if this experience delights you, you have to go to the circuit of Gedinne on 23, 24 and 25 August, the ultimate reference when it comes to road tracks, for the 14th edition of the Belgium Classic Trophy! "
The two races of the Belgian Classic Grand Prix, part of the 2019 A-XOC Bikers'Classics, are scheduled for Saturday, July 6 from 14:25 to 14:55, and Sunday, July 7 from 14:50 to 15:30.
